The profits from the button sales will be divided among all of the Scouts who work based on the number of hours they worked. We need 2 to 3 scouts per 3-hour shift. We will need parents to help supervise, as well. Scouts are welcome to work more than one shift if they wish. The shifts will be:

Friday, July 27
Noon to 3p – setup and start selling
3p to 6p
6p to 9p

Saturday, July 28
9a to noon

Leadership Changes
(Posted: Thursday, September 14 2006)
The Troop has been actively recruiting new adult leaders over the summer, and our searches are now over. Mike E. has become our new Scoutmaster. Matt C. will be taking over as Committee Chair. Assisting Matt will be Karl M. And taking over Karl's current duties will be Kent F. Thanks to you all for stepping forward to help maintain the quality leadership within our Troop!

We'll Miss You, Tom
(Posted: Saturday, August 12 2006)
Our Committee Chair, Tom Z., has been offered by his company a fantastic opportunity to relocate his family to Lausanne, Switzerland. The assignement will be 3 years, and he'll return to Chaska once it is completed. This means, of course, that the Troop needs a new Chairperson. If interested, please contact Tom as soon as possible.

Thanks, Tom, for all your efforts on behalf of Troop 589! We'll miss you!

Volunteers Needed!
(Posted: Sunday, November 23 2003)
Our calendar is set, but we need adult help with many of our upcoming events. It takes a lot of adult help to maintain a quality Troop. Without volunteers, our programs cannot happen! Every family in the Troop is expected to volunteer their help with at least a couple of events every year. Please look over the calendar of events and let us know which events your family would like to help with. We have a great group of families in this Troop -- thank you in advance for your help!
